Three events share Saturday, Nov. 14 in Bowling Green: a holiday vendor market at the Knicely Conference Center, a Pokémon card show at the National Corvette Museum and a morning road race at Ephram White Park.
The Details
Bowling Green Girls Day Out. According to its FairsandFestivals.net listing, the event runs 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the Knicely Conference Center, 2355 Nashville Road, with free admission and "over 75 vendors." The listing also mentions chair massages, wines, 3-D printed items, make-up, bath products, a food truck and door prizes.
PokeKon-Fest. WBKO reports the show runs 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. at the National Corvette Museum Convention Center, 350 Corvette Drive. General admission is $20, sold online or at the door. According to WBKO, children 11 and under get in free, with one free child per paying adult and $10 for each additional child, and parking is free. WBKO says the floor will have modern and vintage Pokémon cards, sealed products, graded cards, figures, plush, artwork and games, and encourages trading. WBKO lists tickets at pokekon.com/bowlinggreen.
Gobbler 5K, 10K and Half Marathon. RunSignup lists 8 a.m. starts at Ephram White Park. Prices are $30 for the 5K, $45 for the 10K and $65 for the half marathon, with a $5 listing for ages 1 to 15, per RunSignup. Registration closes at 8 a.m. on race day, according to the listing.
Around the Weekend
WKU Homecoming runs Nov. 12-14, WBKO reported in July, with the Hilltoppers' game against Jacksonville State on Nov. 14, so expect a busy town.
Before You Go
- The Girls Day Out details come from an event listing rather than the organizers; FairsandFestivals.net notes that "some events do get cancelled or postponed," so check ahead.
- Confirm PokeKon tickets and policies at pokekon.com/bowlinggreen.
- Check the race date and distance when you register, since other Gobbler-named races are listed elsewhere.
