Background
McWhorter came to Bowling Green in 1969 to attend Western Kentucky University and graduated in 1973 with an agriculture degree. He worked in banking, as a Federal Land Bank branch manager, and in business management before buying Residential Mortgage Corporation in 1997; the county says he retired in 2021 and has served as Fourth District magistrate since January 2015.
