Western Kentucky University Athletics said WKU volleyball swept Liberty 3-0 on Saturday, Nov. 7, at E.A. Diddle Arena in Bowling Green, clinching the Hilltoppers’ outright Conference USA regular-season title. The match began at 1 p.m. CT, according to the announcement.
WKU won the sets 25-22, 25-15 and 25-16, the announcement said. The victory put the Hilltoppers at 20-6 overall and 14-0 in conference play, and extended their winning streak to 15 matches, according to the university.
The title is WKU’s 12th CUSA regular-season championship and its eighth in a row, the announcement said. WKU also secured the No. 1 seed for the CUSA Tournament, which the university said it will host at E.A. Diddle Arena Nov. 20-22.
