Western Kentucky University Athletics says WKU will host Delaware in a Conference USA football game Tuesday, Oct. 27, at 6 p.m. at Houchens-Smith Stadium in Bowling Green. The announcement says the game will be televised on CBS Sports Network, and WKU’s records are 3-4 overall and 2-1 in CUSA, while Delaware is 3-4 overall and 1-2 in conference play.
The athletics department says the game is a Red Out, with fans encouraged to wear red and the Hilltoppers set to wear all-red uniforms. It says country artist Tyler Hubbard will give a free, one-hour concert on South Lawn at 4:30 p.m.; South Lawn opens at 1:30 p.m., and space is first-come, first-served. Pop-up tailgating tents are allowed around the perimeter of lower South Lawn, while the middle area will be kept open for the concert, according to WKU Athletics.
WKU Athletics says stadium gates open 90 minutes before kickoff and ticket booths open at 4:30 p.m. The announcement says parking passes for the 2026 season are digital and fans must load them in the WKU Hilltoppers app before arriving on campus.
The team’s Topper Walk is scheduled for 3:40 p.m., from PS1 down Avenue of Champions to Feix Field, according to the announcement. A Big Red Rally on South Lawn will follow. WKU Athletics also says longtime athletic trainer Bill “Doc E” Edwards will be recognized at halftime, and the athletic training room at the stadium will be named in his honor after a fundraising campaign raised more than $100,000.
The announcement says WKU students attending the game will receive a $10 voucher for concessions at WKU Restaurant Group, Rita’s or Chaney’s stations. It lists a ticket offer for faculty and staff, and says Big Red’s Rascals Kids Club member parents can get 50% off tickets by calling the WKU Ticket Office at 1-800-5-BIGRED.
