Western Kentucky's men's basketball team plays its final exhibition Sunday, Oct. 25, against Indiana at the Ford Center in Evansville, Ind., with tipoff set for 3 p.m. CT, according to wkusports.com and WBKO.

The Hilltoppers arrive fresh off a tuneup at home. WKU beat Bowling Green State (Ohio) 65-62 in the "Battle for Bowling Green" exhibition at E.A. Diddle Arena on Tuesday, Oct. 20, per WKU Athletics and WBKO. Per WKU's recap, Teagan Moore led the Hilltoppers with 22 points, Sharron Young added 11, and LJ Hackman had 10 points and eight rebounds. Per the same recap, WKU held a 13-point second-half lead before the Falcons rallied to within one possession, and Hackman made a free throw with six seconds left. The game did not count toward WKU's 2026-27 record, WKU said, and neither will Sunday's.

What's at stake

Sunday's game is a neutral-site exhibition against a Big Ten program, WKU Athletics said in its June 22 announcement. The teams have met three times, with Indiana leading 2-1, per WKU. WKU's win came 110-91 over No. 3 Indiana in Dallas on Dec. 28, 1967, so Sunday will be the fourth meeting.

The season so far

The regular season has not started. WKU opens Monday, Nov. 2, at home against Morehead State at Diddle Arena, per WKU Athletics' nonconference schedule release (tipoff time: check wkusports.com).

WKU's June release noted the return of five guards: Moore, Armelo Boone, Hackman, Kade Unseld and Lawson Rice. It listed Moore at 18.7 points per game last season. Drew Fuquay, a 6-8 transfer from Marshall, and Moussa Konare, a 6-10 sophomore from Trinity Valley Community College, are among the newcomers, per WKU Athletics and WBKO.
