  • Beech Bend Park Halloween: WNKY (published Oct. 12) reports the event runs through Oct. 31, with the park open Fridays 5 to 10 p.m., Saturdays 12:30 to 9:30 p.m. and Sundays noon to 6 p.m. Rides are included with admission, and WNKY says tickets can be bought online or at the gate. Prices were not listed in the sources we found, so check ahead with the park.
  • Ricky Skaggs at SKyPAC: SKyPAC's event page lists "Orchestra Kentucky Special: Ricky Skaggs" for Saturday, Oct. 24, at 7:30 p.m. at 601 College Street. The page calls it a "one-night-only performance" with Skaggs joining Orchestra Kentucky for bluegrass and Americana. What Beech Bend Is Offering

  • WNKY quotes Beech Bend General Manager Charlotte Gonzalez: "This is our very first October event ever, so we are so excited."
  • WNKY reports a trick-or-treat trail, magic shows, and a younger-kids area called Booville with pumpkin painting, face painting, pumpkin bowling and a bonfire for s'mores.
  • WNKY also reports a haunted trail after dark on Friday and Saturday nights, with a boarding pass system that assigns entry times, and a family hayride on Saturdays and Sundays that passes behind the campground with views of the Barren River.

Before You Go

  • WKU football is not at home this weekend; WBKO's 2026 schedule lists no game on Oct. 24. The Hilltoppers' next home game is Tuesday, Oct. 27, against Delaware at 6 p.m. CT on CBS Sports Network, per WBKO.
