The Kentucky Finance and Administration Cabinet says the Robert E. Spiller Bowling Green Veterans Center has opened at the Kentucky Transpark in Warren County, expanding care for veterans in Western Kentucky. The cabinet’s announcement says the grand opening took place in 2026 but does not give a specific date.
The center is 80,000 square feet and cost $53 million, according to the cabinet, which says the project will create 152 jobs. It is the state’s fifth skilled nursing facility for veterans and sits on 25 acres donated by the Inter-Modal Transportation Authority.
The facility has 60 private suites with private bathrooms, as well as shared living, dining and support areas, the cabinet says. It also offers physical therapy and recreational activities and has state-of-the-art equipment, according to the announcement.
The cabinet says the center is named for the late Col. Robert E. “Bob” Spiller, a retired U.S. Army officer, Bowling Green resident and veterans advocate.
