The O'Charley's restaurant at 2717 Scottsville Road in Bowling Green has closed, WBKO reported on Sept. 10, 2026. The station said the Nashville-founded chain closed its doors at multiple locations, including the one in Bowling Green.
The Details
- Where: 2717 Scottsville Road, Bowling Green.
- Status: Closed, per WBKO. The station said the cause of the closings had not yet been released, and we are not speculating.
The Backstory
The Bowling Green restaurant was one of many affected. WSMV in Nashville reported on Sept. 9 that O'Charley's locations across Middle Tennessee were closing, including Bellevue, Hermitage, Franklin, Lebanon, Manchester, Gallatin, Springfield and Clarksville in Tennessee, plus Hopkinsville, Kentucky. WSMV said it had no information yet on the Cookeville and Dickson locations.
WKRN reported the chain is closing its remaining company-owned restaurants nationwide, and Fox 11 (WKRC) reported that franchised locations operate separately and could stay open temporarily. Restaurant Dive reported, citing multiple media reports, that the chain has closed or is closing all of its locations. We have seen no report of a Kentucky franchise remaining open.
What It Means for Bowling Green
Diners lose a sit-down option on the Scottsville Road corridor. As of Oct. 16, we have found no report of what will happen to the building, and no sale, lease or new-tenant announcement. Reports we found do not say how many Bowling Green employees were affected, and no gift-card guidance for these closures has been published that we could find.
