Western Kentucky University Athletics announced Oct. 12 in Bowling Green that Franklin Bank & Trust will become the official bank of Hilltopper baseball and softball and the first sponsor to place a patch on either team’s uniforms, according to the university’s announcement.
The announcement describes the expanded agreement as a multi-year partnership facilitated by Learfield’s Hilltopper Sports Properties. The bank’s patches will appear on the teams’ game-day jerseys, and Franklin Bank & Trust branding will also be displayed on the on-deck circles and outfield walls at Nick Denes Field and the WKU Softball Complex, WKU Athletics said.
The baseball team is expected to wear the patches beginning with the 2027 season, head coach Marc Rardin said in the announcement. The announcement did not specify when the softball team’s patches will debut.
Franklin Bank & Trust will also continue student-athlete influencer marketing through activations featuring athletes wearing university logos and marks, the announcement said. The bank, which WKU Athletics said has partnered with the university for more than two decades, has three locations in Bowling Green and two in Franklin, according to the announcement.
