Bowling Green High School beat Warren Central 49-0 in a district game, the Bowling Green Daily News reported, as South Warren also won big and Greenwood took a district loss in Warren County football's Week 7. All three games were played Thursday, Oct. 1.
How It Went
Per the Bowling Green Daily News, the Purples (3-4 overall, 2-0 in Class 5A, District 2) built a three-touchdown lead by halftime in the Thursday, Oct. 1 game. The loss left Warren Central at 1-6, according to MaxPreps.
South Warren rolled past visiting Meade County 56-0, the Daily News reported. The Spartans led by four touchdowns after the first quarter and 42-0 at halftime. Per the paper, Jamir Boards and Connor Ledford each ran for two touchdowns; quarterback Camden Page opened the scoring with a 9-yard touchdown pass to Will Mayes; Ledford added a 75-yard touchdown run; and Isaiah Bridges opened the second half with a 97-yard kickoff return for a score.
Greenwood fell 32-15 at home to Barren County in a Class 5A, District 2 game, as reported by WCLU Radio and the Daily News. The Daily News reported that Barren County lost its center to an injury early, shuffled its line, and still ran for 302 yards. Barren County (5-2, 2-1 in district) locked up a home playoff game with the win, per the paper.
