The Bowling Green Police Department said Officer Jones was conducting traffic enforcement near Three Springs Road and Scottsville Road; the agency did not specify when the activity took place.
Bowling Green police said Jones is assigned to the department’s traffic unit and has been active in the District 80 area. The department said District 80 stretches from Greenwood Mall to Olde Stone and that thousands of vehicles pass through the area daily.
The department asked drivers to slow down, use caution, obey traffic signals and come to a complete stop at stop signs. The agency said a boring day in traffic enforcement means a safer day for everyone.
